The Port Harcourt Teens Summit will bring together in-school and out-of-school adolescents, and their parents/guardians from all over the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The goal of the event is to create a platform where adolescents can lead in the discussion of issues affecting their development. The event will feature a panel session led by selected teenage speakers, an interactive section between adolescents and adults, as well as a capacity-building session for parents. The theme of this event is “The whole teen”. The summit will feature discussions on the topic “What we want versus what we need: bridging the gap for the unmet needs of the adolescent child”. The event will partner with the State Adolescents and Youths Technical Working Group of the Ministry of Health, as well as relevant stakeholders in the State.
