Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with Partners led by youth-led organizations (Education as a Vaccine, PLAN International, is proposing to host the National Event for the 1.8 billion campaign in Nigeria, to mark the Global Forum for Adolescents and join the global event on 11th Oct 2023. 

Key Objectives: 

  1. To gain SMART commitments from government and stakeholders on prioritization of adolescent wellbeing in national policy and programs 
  2. To raise awareness on health and wellbeing issues around Adolescents through the commemoration of GFA- 1.8 billion campaign 
  3. To highlight the efforts of the Government, youth champions, and partners in advancing adolescent well being. 
  4. To highlight the need for increased financial investments and data-driven program and policies for young people that can be easily tracked and monitored 
  5. To discuss challenges, identify gaps and proffer solutions needed to further advance adolescent well being agenda and the 1.8 billion campaign in-country.
