Success for girls is characterized by the ability to affect change in their own lives and world. This capacity is best described as ‘agency.’ We believe that in order to be successful girls must believe in themselves and their own abilities AND have the skills they need to affect change in their own lives. In line with the 2023 IDG Theme, ` Our time is now—our rights, our future'.

The AMPLIFY GIRLS 2023 Fellowship Program ( with a membership of 22 girls across 5 countries in east and southern africa) will come together to host a girl led event showcasing why `girls agency` centres as a key critical measure of their success and how increased agency manifests in ALL spaces of a girl`s life resulting in sustained education early education, increased transition rates to institutions of higher education, better integration into the workplace and a stronger voice in personal and private spaces- AGENCY IN ALL SPACES – For Girls!
