[PAKISTAN] Roundtable discussion on adolescent health and wellbeing in relation to SDGs in Pakistan

Following on the WHO launch of Global Accelerated Action Plan for the Health of Adolescents (AA-HA!), the 64th Regional committee of Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMRO) in October 2017 passed a resolution on operationalization of AA-HA framework by all member states. 

In order to operationalize the framework for Pakistan, the WHO Pakistan office supported Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Government of Pakistan in conducting a Need Assessment and Landscape Analysis of adolescent health followed by development of Pakistan National Strategy on Adolescent Health and Development (2020-25). 

In preparation for the upcoming SDG summit in September 2023, WHO Pakistan is conducting a roundtable discussion on adolescent health & wellbeing in relation to SDGs progress in Pakistan. The participants include policy makers, program managers, key development partners and adolescent representative organizations.
