The National Planning Commission - Botswana, in collaboration with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and other stakeholders, will be hosting the launch of the National Commitment for Adoloscent and Young People’s Well-Being. His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, will pledge the country's commitment to the movement at the event, which is scheduled to take place on the 10th October 2023.
The launch will start promptly 0730 hours at the Gaborone International Convention Center. The Commitment highlights the needs of adolescents in education, transition to employment, health and nutrition, safe and protective environments and road safety. This is aimed at ensuring their sustainable future while expediting progress towards the attainment of the SDGs.
