About the event
Climate change, armed conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the war in Ukraine raise issues of protection for vulnerable populations and contribute to food and nutrition insecurity in developing countries. According to previous assessments in Chad, 38% of women have experienced female genital mutilation, 12% of women are victims of sexual violence, 38% of women face physical assault, 28.4% of girls are married before the age of 15, and 69% of women are married before the age of 18. Addressing this situation, which constitutes a major developmental challenge worldwide, the CRCDC proposes to deepen, adapt, improve, and update the knowledge of magistrates and judicial police officers in the provinces of Logone Occidental and Oriental on Gender-Based Violence and Core, Programmatic, and Operational Minimum Standards.
