Globally and in Sweden, poor mental health and well-being among adolescents remains a large and growing problem that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Aligned multisector action is rare and funding for adolescent mental health and well-being (AMH) is low compared to the magnitude of the problem. During this roundtable, we will discuss the results of a political economy analysis of AMH in Sweden, jointly identify key messages and actionable recommendations with key stakeholders.
As such, the roundtable may enable concerned advocates to better strategize to reduce fragmentation and mobilize resources in support of multi-sector action for improved AMH. This can ultimately help to augment global political priority-setting, alignment and collective action for impact at scale.
The event will be attended by young people and adolescents and other key stakeholders, such as representatives of government institutions, civil society organizations, the private sector, healthcare providers, financiers and academia.
