The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Population is hosting a virtual launch event for Take Action for Adolescents: A National Adolescent Health Action Plan.
This is the first action plan focused on adolescent health and well-being in the U.S. and reflects the collaborative input of a large and diverse group of allies and partners. It sets forth eight goals and accompanying action steps for policymakers, youth-serving professionals, advocates, and parents, guardians, and other caregivers.
These goals and action steps are intended to serve as a catalyst for collaborative work across multiple youth-serving sectors. The launch event will feature presentations by HHS leadership and experts in adolescent health and well-being, including a roundtable of young people who were key partners in crafting the Action Plan. On the day of the launch, HHS will post the Action Plan and its accompanying Take Action Toolkit on the OPA website.
